STAMFORD, Conn. - Lisetta J. Verrastro of Stamford died July 1. She was 100.
Verrastro was born May 26, 1913, in Jona, KT St. Gallen, Switzerland, daughter of Emil and Lisetta Helbling.
She came to the United States in 1952 and became a citizen in 1960. A member of the Ladies Guild at Sacred Heart Church, she, along with another member, dedicated her time to creating flower arrangements for sick parishioners and delivering them to local hospitals.
Verrastro is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William A. Verrastro; and a brother and a sister.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
