Linda J. Angotto, 60, Nurse, Regency Heights In Stamford

NORWALK, Conn. - Linda J (Smith) Angotto of Norwalk died Tuesday, April 8. She was 60.

Angotto was born Aug. 1, 1953, in Ogdensburg, N.Y., to Lawrence and Irene (Baxter) Smith. She graduated from Canton High School in 1971 and St Lawrence State Hospital School of Nursing in 1974. She earned her Bachelor’s (1983) and Masters of Science in Nursing (1999) at Western Connecticut University in Danbury. She also attended the post masters program for adult nurse practitioners at Western Connecticut University, achieving Board Certification in Adult Nurse Practitioner and Wound Ostomy Continence Care.

She worked at House of Good Samaritan of Watertown, N.Y., Norwalk Hospital, Waveny Care Center of New Canaan, Hospice of Branford, Mid Fairfield Hospice, Nursing & Home Care of Wilton, Southwest Community Health Center of Bridgeport, NP Care of Shelton, Park Avenue Medical Associates of White Plains N.Y., and Regency Heights of Stamford. She was a member of the Connecticut Nurses Foundation for which she served as president from 2009 to 2012.

Angotto is survived by her husband, Gary Angotto; sons, Jeff (Catherine) Potter of Bethel, Brian Potter of Las Vegas Nev.; two grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Kevin) Legg of Plessis N.Y., Cheryl (Bill) Harris of Ooltewah Tenn., Carolyn (Eric) Ouderkirk of Oswego Ill., Maureen (Peter) Connor of Litchfield N.H., Paula (Chris) Jank of Watertown N.Y., Julie Smith (fiancé Bill Fobare) of Rensselaer Falls N.Y.; brother, David (Deborah) Smith of Canton N.Y.; brothers-in-law, Chris (Anna) Angotto of Greenwich, Terry (Darlene) Angotto of Stamford, Eric (Deborah) Angotto of Fairfield; and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Angotto of Greenwich; many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours are Friday, April 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave., Norwalk.
