STAMFORD, Conn. - Lillian (Lee) Buchan of Stamford died Oct. 20. She was 96.
Buchan was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Elizabeth, N.J. She was a longtime Stamford resident and worked at Westhill High School in the Guidance Office for 23 years before retiring in 1995.
Buchan is survived by her daughters, Jane McDonnell of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Gale Tarzia of Stamford; son-in-law, Tim McDonnell; three grandchildren; brother, John Maul of Darien; sister, Anne Gagliardi of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Buchan; and siblings, Karl Weber, Margaret McDonald, and Lawrence Maul.
Calling hours are at Friday, Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave. in Stamford, followed by a brief funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Fairfield Memorial Park cemetery in Stamford at 2 p.m.
