Lawrence Meyers, 59, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Lawrence Meyers, 59, of Stamford died Tuesday, May 19, in Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut.

He was born May 6, 1956, to Robert and Pearl Meyers in Queens, N.Y. He graduated from Broward Community College with a degree in political science. He subsequently earned a certificate from The College for Financial Planning as a chartered retirement plans specialist. In 2012, he was awarded by Connecticut Magazine with their Select Wealth Manager Recognition award.

He enjoyed a successful 34-year career as a financial consultant, sales manager, career development coach and branch office-complex manager for various financial firms. In 2010, he established his own wealth management practice with two partners and enjoyed continued professional growth and success.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah, and his daughter, Alyssa, of Stamford.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 24 at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, Long Ridge Road, Stamford. The Rev. Mark Lingle will officiate.

A second memorial will take place Saturday, June 13, at 4 p.m. at the home of Deborah and Alyssa, 52 Broad Brook Lane, Stamford. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
