Konstantinos Aivalis, 95, Of Stamford, Worked For Pitney Bowes

STAMFORD, Conn. - Konstantinos "Gus" Aivalis of Stamford died July 13. He was 95.

Aivalis was born May 16, 1918, in Kastori, Sparta, Greece. He was a World War II veteran, he worked at Pitney Bowes in Stamford. He was a former member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Parish Council.

Aivalis is survived by his wife, Katina; daughter, Paula (John) Philippopoulos; son, Nick Aivalis (Denise); six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 1230 Newfield Ave., Stamford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.

The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, is in charge with the arrangements.
