Efkarpidis was born April 20, 1948, in Greece, to Dionisios and Amalia Mihalopoulou Terzis. She was a member of The Church of the Archangels. She was employed as a supervisor at Circon for 22 years before retiring in 2012.
Efkarpidis is survived by her husband, Dimitrios Efkarpidis of Stamford; children, Nikolaos Efkarpidis (Tarra) of Norwalk, Dionisios Efkarpidis (Jill) of Stamford; sisters, Eleni Apostolidis of Stamford, Giota Tsotra of Greece; brother, Alexi Terzis (Vangelia) of Greece; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, with a Trisagian Service to be held at 7:30p.m. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Saturday, Dec. 28 at 10:20 a.m. for a funeral service to be celebrated at The Church of the Archangels,1527 Bedford St., Stamford at 11 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Ave., Stamford.
