STAMFORD, Conn. – Kathleen O. Chin, 85, of Stamford, died Tuesday, May 5, at Stamford Hospital.
She was born in New York City on April 7, 1930, to Robert and Thelma R. Rose Johnston. She was employed as a desk clerk and aide at the former United Hospital in Port Chester, N.Y., for eight years, and was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Stamford for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Lise Leist and her husband, Jeff, of Pound Ridge, N.Y.; Ling Noonan of Watertown, Conn.; and five grandchildren, Zachary and Anya Leist and Adlai, Ariel and Sheminith Noonan..
She was predeceased by her sister, Renee Johnston and a grandson, Gebrah Noonan.
Visitation is Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m.at the Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to The Stamford Hospital, 30 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06902.
