Karen Murphy, 64, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Karen A. Murphy, 64, of Stamford, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, after a brief illness.

Born in Scranton, Pa., to Judge Edward M. and Mary Kilcullen Murphy, she was a graduate of Syracuse University, Northeastern University and Temple University Law School. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the N.Y. State Bar Association.

She is survived by a twin sister, Kathleen Murphy of Greenwich; a brother, Edward M. Murphy and sister-in-law of Mission Viejo, Calif.

Burial will take place at St Patrick's Cemetery, Olyphant, Pa.
