K. Louise Carlson, 92, Longtime Resident Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. - K. Louise Carlson, a Stamford resident for more than 50 years, died Tuesday, Nov. 25. She was 92.

Carlson was born Sept. 16, 1922, in New Bedford, Mass. to Alfred and Lena Bangsgaard Johnson. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire and Katharine Gibbs College. She first worked as an executive secretary for the chief of psychiatry at Mass General Hospital in Boston and later for Hathaway Corporation in New Bedford. She played first violin in the Nashua Symphony and later in the Stamford Symphony Orchestra.

Carlson is survived by her son, Christopher Carlson of Stamford and Los Angeles; daughter, Nicoline Carlson (Stuart) Sawabini of New Canaan; two granddaughters; and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorathea Carpenter.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at the First Congregational Church, 1 Walton Place, Stamford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Stamford or the Stamford Symphony Orchestra, 263 Tresser Blvd., Stamford.
