Julia Cicarelli, 100, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Julia Spuck Cicarelli, 100, died Dec. 10, 2014.

She was born Aug. 13, 1914, in Soldier, Pa., a coal miner's daughter of Polish/Ukrainian parents John and Catherine Reiter Spuck.

Cicarelli lived most of her life in Stamford and resided at Middlebrook Farms in Trumbull for the last three years. She was a longtime member of the Saint Clements R.C.C. Boat Club in Stamford. She was famous for her vegetable and flower gardens and loved telling stories about her young years on the farm.

She is predeceased by her husband, Pat Cicarelli, and son, Patrick (Buddy) Cicarelli.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Werner and her husband, John, of Memphis, Tenn.; her son, Ron Cicarelli and his wife, Sue, of Bridgeport; two grandchildren;  a sister in Soldier; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of her life is planned for 10 a.m.Saturday at St. Clements Church, 535 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.
