Judith Plomitallo, 69, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Judith (Chris) Diane Plomitallo, of Stamford, died Saturday, Oct. 3.

She was born Oct. 20, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Jerome and Geraldine Christopherson. 

She was a graduate of Ames High School and St. Olaf College and received dual degrees in Spanish and education. 

On Aug. 1, 1970, she married Dr. Anthony V. Plomitallo in Ames, Iowa. 

She was a teacher of mathematics at Central Junior High School in Greenwich.

She was predeceased by her husband, Tony, and survived by four children: Geralyn Plomitallo, Deborah Melkonian (Dorian), Karen Gonillo (Josh) and Douglas Plomitallo (Alice); and five grandchildren: Zachary Plomitallo, Amber Plomitallo, Gianna Gonillo, Kate Melkonian and Wesley Melkonian. 

She also is survived by her brother, Dennis Christopherson, of Billings, Mont. 

A visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (next to Knights of Columbus), 453 Shippan Ave.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bedford St. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in celebration of her life.
