Josephine Fusaro, 96, Lifelong Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. – Josephine M. Fusaro, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Oct. 23. She was 96.

Born Nov. 25, 1915, Fusaro was the daughter of Giachino and Marion Fulco Anzoli. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Fusaro. She worked at C.O. Millers Department Store in Stamford for many years.

Fusaro is survived by three children, Joseph A. Fusaro Sr., Virginia "Ginger" M. Gerardi and Arlene A. Moavero; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers, Michael, Armando, Peter, Luciano and Paul Anzoli; and a sister, Gloria Lovello.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Darien. There are no calling hours. Lacerenza Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling funeral arrangements.
