STAMFORD, Conn. – Josephine "Dolly" Dastoli, of Stamford, died Saturday, Feb. 20 at Brighton Gardens. She was 88.
She was born in Stamford on Sept. 30, 1927, to the late Joseph and Teresa DiPietro Truglia. She was the office manager for her family's business, Dasco Rod Company, in Stamford, for 20 years before retiring. She also loved to cook for her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Dastoli and his wife, Marianne, of South Carolina, and Michael Dastoli and his wife, Carol of Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Claudia Toscano and Rose Santarella; two brothers, Tony Truglia and his wife, Delia, and Joseph Truglia, all of Stamford; as well as her grandchildren, Krista Dastoli Spencer, Michael, James and Robert Dastoli and one great-grandson, Vinny Spencer.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michael N. Dastoli.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.
A funeral procession will be leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
