Joseph A. Previte, 82, Formerly Of Stamford, Army Veteran

BETHEL, Conn. - Joseph A. Previte, of Bethel and formerly of Stamford, died May 6. He was 82.

Previte was born May 25, 1930, in Greenwich, son of Angelo and Rose Previte. He was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the union of operating engineers, and belonged to numerous organizations.

Previte is survived by his wife, Louise Previte; daughters, Arlene Leva, Diane Bria; stepdaughter, Lisa Gallichio; four grandchildren; brother, Angelo; and sisters, Rosemarie, Joan, Patty and Josephine. He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose Ann Previte; brother, Anthony (T.P.); and sister Clementine.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. May 9 at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home 2900 Summer St., Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Clements, Church 535 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery 35 Camp Ave. Darien.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.
