Joseph Neil Loglisci, 83, Lifelong Stamford Resident, Korea Vet

STAMFORD, Conn. - Joseph Neil Loglisci of Stamford died Saturday, March 16. He was 83.

Loglisci was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Stamford to Joseph and Mary Candito Loglisci. He received a BA from the University of Miami in 1951 and worked as an insurance agent with John Hancock Life Insurance for 23 years before his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea.

Loglisci is survived by his wife, Margaret “Mickey” Colombo Morelli Loglisci of Stamford; his former wife, Gayle Hand; two sons, Robert and Michael Loglisci; brothers, Pat “GI” Loglisci (Jennie), Nicky “Bones” Loglisci (Helen); sister, Lucille Tomczyk; three step daughters Debbie Young, Lynn Morelli and Jodi Morelli; seven grandchildren; one great grandson He was predeceased by his parents; son, Joseph “Beaver” Loglisci and sister, Rose Marie Interlandi.

Calling hours are Wednesday, March 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. A funeral procession will be leaving Thursday, March 21, at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Rd, Stamford at 10 a.m Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave., Stamford.
