STAMFORD, Conn. - Joan McElhinny of Stamford died Saturday, May 4. She was 86.
McElhinny was born Feb. 22, 1927, in New York City to John and Margaret Brady McElhinny.
She was a secretary for GTE in New York City for 30 years before her retirement. She was a graduate of New Rochelle College, class of 1949 and was a member of St. Mary Margaret Alacoque Church, Bronx, N.Y.
McElhinny is survived by a cousin, Dr. McElhinny of New York. She was predeceased by her parents.
There will be no calling hours. A Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing, N.Y.
