Jeanne Ball Valentine, 84, Formerly Of Stamford, Founded Camelot Realty

DARIEN, Conn. - Jeanne Ball Valentine, of Darien, formerly of Stamford, Wilton and Savannah, Ga., died May 8. She was 84.

Valentine was born June 27, 1927, in Rye, N.Y., to Cornelius and Anna Hunter Ball. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. In the 1980’s she became a licensed Real Estate Broker. She and her partner, Naida Cognetta, founded Camelot Realty, working together to sell both Hayes House and Fountain Terrace on Strawberry Hill Avenue in Stamford. While living in Georgia, she was the president of the women’s “Nine Holers Club” at The Savannah Inn Golf Course.

Valentine is survived by daughters, Mary Elizabeth McDonald of Savannah, Ga., and Marykate Valentine of Darien; four grandchildren; and brothers, William Ball of Rye, N.Y. and Cornelius Ball Jr. of Port Charlotte, Fla. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, A. John Valentine; and sisters, Anne Fuller and Elizabeth C. Ball.

A graveside service will take place Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, is in charge with the arrangements.
