STAMFORD, Conn. – Jean D. Romaniello Ross, a former Stamford resident, died Oct. 22. She was 79.
Ross was born Aug. 1, 1933, in Stamford to William and Helen Rayho Romaniello. She worked for IGA for five years and Grand Central Market for 20 years before her retirement. Most recently of Trumbull, Ross was a lover of cats and a collector of antiques.
She is survived by two sons, Michael E. (Colleen) Ross of Norwalk, and Gary S. (Kathleen) Ross, of Stamford; a daughter, Wendy L. Morales, of Florida; a brother, William (Bugsy) Romaniello, of Stamford; and eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ross was predeceased by a son, Edward M Ross.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Cecilia Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien. There are no calling hours. Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory in Stamford is handling arrangements.
