Jan Strzechocki, 49, Longtime Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan Strzechocki, a longtime Stamford resident, died Oct. 18 at Stamford Hospital. He was 49. 

Born June 15, 1963, in Radzilow, Poland, he was the son of Jan and Halina Pruszko Strzechocki. He emigrated from Poland to the U.S. at the age of 17 and settled in Stamford. He worked in the service meat department at Grade A Market for 31 years. 

Strzechocki is survived by two children, Magdalena (Christina) and John Strzechocki, both of Stamford; and his former wife, Jolanta Nietupska, also of Stamford. 

Visitation is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Bosak Funeral Home in Stamford, with a service at 11 a.m. officiated by the Rev. Thaddeus F. Malanowski. The committal service will immediately follow at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford.
