STAMFORD, Conn. - Ilona G. Libertini, a Stamford resident, died Saturday, Feb. 23. She was 89.
Born April 4, 1923 in Budapest, Hungary, Libertini was the daughter of Janos and Ida Vargha. She worked as an accountant at Pitney Bowes for many years.
Libertini is survived by her sons, Zoltan (Ida), Attila (Pam); and daughter Eniko Nagy; three siblings, Edith Gerlits, Ida Karoly and Victor Vargha; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Zoltan.
Calling hours will be Friday, March 1 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Leo's Church, Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Stamford.
