Helen M. Reid, 91, Research Chemist For American Cyanamid In Stamford

SOMERS, N.Y. - Helen M. Reid of Somers died Oct. 16. She was 91.

Reid was born July 14, 1923, to Helen and Percy Mallet in the Bronx. She married John H. Reid. During World War II, she was a research chemist for American Cyanamid in Stamford. She was a longtime church volunteer at St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church in Ardsley and St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Somers. She also volunteered at the Ardsley and Somers Public Libraries.

Reid is survived by her daughter, Barbara R. White; sister, Patricia DiTullio; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Somers.
