Glen Sheeran, Stamford Resident, 60

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Glen H. Sheeran, a Stamford resident, died on Friday at Stamford Hospital with family and a close friend by his side. He was 60.

Sheeran was born in Greenwich on Nov. 13, 1954, son of the late Edward Sr. and Edna (Caldwell) Sheeran.

He graduated from Stamford High School and attended classes at Norwalk Community College.

Sheeran was a U.S. Postal Service worker in the Town of Greenwich for the past 27 years. His route for most of these years was Greenwich Avenue where he could be seen with a smile on his face greeting his customers and the many friends he made along the avenue.

Sheeran was also a long time softball and referee coordinator for Stamford Park and Recreation program. He also worked for Electrolux prior to their relocation. Sheeran was a sports enthusiast and an avid supporter of the Detroit Tigers and Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his brother Edward Sheeran and his wife, Michele, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
