MEDFORD, N.J. - Gladys Jean Tanski, formerly of Stamford, died Monday, May 6. She was 95.
Tanski was born June 19, 1917, in Stamford to Karolina and Anthony Romski. She was a retired employee of Sterling Drugs when it was in operation in Glenbrook. As a Stamford resident she was a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church.
Tanski is survived by her son, William J. Tanski (Dorothy E.) Tanski; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William S. Tanski; daughter, Linda Costanzo; brother, Charles Romski; and sisters, Mary and Alice Piorkowski.
Calling hours are Thursday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford, with a prayer service offered by Monsignor Thaddeus F. Malanowski at 10:45 a.m. The interment will immediately follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
