She was an employee of Clairol for many years before her retirement in 1980. She was also an active parishioner at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Minturnese Social Club Women's Auxillary. She liked to garden and crochet, but her true passion was the love she had for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and to all children.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Anna Stella, of Stamford; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Umberto Stella, and her son, Bernardo P. Stella.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 9, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford . A funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday, April 9, at 10:40 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
