Pirolozzi was born in Minturno, Italy, to Lina Alicandro Pirolozzi and Gennaro Pirolozzi. He served in the Italian Marines before coming to the United States and settling in Stamford. He was a member of the Minturnese Social Club in Stamford.
Pirolozzi is survived by his wife, Monica Maria Pirolozzi of Stamford; mother, Lina Alicandro Pirolozzzi of Minturno, Italy; daughter, Daniela Borruso (Michael) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; son, Alex Pirolozzi of Stamford; step-daughter, Natalia Lozado of Stamford; brother, Vittorio Pirolozzi (Teresa) of Stamford; his second family, the Pensiero’s; and many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Gennaro Pirolozzi; and brother, Pasquale Pirolozzi.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
