YONKERS, N.Y. -- Geraldine E. Fedak, of Yonkers, died Oct. 6. She was 82.
Fedak was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Stamford, to John W. Moore and Charlotte (Studwell) Moore. She was a graduate of Stamford High School and Saint Joseph's Nursing School.
Fedak was a nurse for 42 years, spending most of her early years at Yonkers Professional Hospital and completing her career in 1997 at Yonkers General Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Fedak, and her brother, William J. Moore..
Fedak is survived by William (Anna) Fedak, Joseph (Linda) Fedak, Charlotte (Thomas) Powell, John M. (Theresa) Fedak, Robert (Annlouise) Fedak and Mary J. (Shaun) Cushing; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Flynn Memorial Home Inc., 1652 Central Park Ave., Yonkers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's R. C. Church, 91 Ludlow St., Yonkers.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
