Suppa was born on July 7, 1953, in Fort Polk, La. to Frank V. and Grace Cerulli Suppa. He graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1971 and enlisted in the Navy. He worked at Kamen Aeronautics and the Norfolk Naval Base, taking part in Operation Desert Storm to update the helicopters on the ships.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Suppa of Maryland; brothers Anthony J. Suppa and his wife, Bernedette of Norwalk, and Vincent Suppa of Seattle, Wash., former wife Patricia Suppa of Enfield, and his partner, Judy DePalma of Dumfries, Va.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 37 Schuyler Ave. in Stamford at 9 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
