Frank Ardise, 95, Stamford Lab Worker, WWII Vet

STAMFORD, Conn. – Frank G. Ardise of Stamford died July 16 at Regency Heights of Stamford surrounded by his family. He was 95.

Ardise worked as a group leader at Machlett Laboratories in Stamford for 40 years before retiring.

He was born July 21 1916, in Paterson, N.J. to Luigi and Michelina Francese Ardise. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army 341st Station Complement Squadron during World War II.

Ardise is survived by his wife, Sylvia A. Preziosi Ardise, of Stamford; a son, Thomas P. Ardise, of Monroe, Conn.; two grandchildren and "his girl," daughter-in-law, Rosemarie. He was predeceased by four brothers, Ralph, Tubby, Tommy and Lewis; and two sisters, Lucy Ardise and Eleanor Ventimiglia.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Maurice Church in Stamford. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory in Stamford is handling arrangements.
