Eric A. Erickson, 95, Former Stamford Resident, Systems Engineer For IBM

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Eric A. Erickson, a resident of Williamsville, and a former 50 year resident of Stamford, died Sunday, July 14. He was 95.

Erickson was born March 4, 1918, in Delsbo, Sweden, son of Eric and Anna Stromstedt Erickson. He worked for IBM for 28 years and retired in 1975 as a systems engineer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of the Stamford Kiwanis Club.

Erickson is survived by his daughters, Joan E. Tilford of Chesterfield, Mo., Nancy E. Zywicki of East Amherst; Karen E. Mazako of Monroe, Conn., and Ann E. Gifford of Greenwood, Colo.; five grandchildren; and a great grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Irene Thopsey Erickson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Ina Ellen Chapel at St. John's Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien.
