RIDGEFIELD, N.Y. - Elgie Beal, Jr. of Ridgefield died Monday, July 1. He was 82.
Beal was born July 20, 1930, in Henderson County, Tenn., son of Elgie and Margaret (Stokes) Beal. He was raised and educated in Tennessee and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean era. A resident of Stamford from 1953 until relocating to Ridgefield in 1969, he retired from the Clairol Corporation of Stamford where he was employed in the Research and Development Division. He was a member of St. Mary Parish, Ridgefield.
Beal is survived by his wife, Antoinette (Carcusa) Beal; son, Joseph C. Beal (Jane) of Brookfield; daughter, Kellie A. Brattesani (Frank J.) of Brookfield; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside funeral service and burial will take place Friday, July 5 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
