STAMFORD, Conn. -- Emanuel Lester Wilbanks, 73, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Monday, Jan. 13.
He was born Oct. 24, 1941, to Emanuel and Lillie Quiller Wilbanks.
He was an active member of Bethel AME Church, where he was one of the founding members of the "Blast from the Past" social group.
Survivors include two sisters, Margaret (John) Bernard, and Viola Peterson and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, William David and Dr. James Wilbanks; a brother-in-law, George J. Peterson; and two sisters, Lillie Mae and Rachel Rhomaine Wilbanks.
George J. Peterson Funeral Home in Bridgeport handled the arrangements.
