Donald J. Serricchio, 88, Lifelong Stamford Resident, Master Electrician

STAMFORD, Conn. - Donald J. Serricchio, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Sept. 9. He was 88.

Serricchio was born Aug. 2, 1926, to Gaetano and Antonia (Colucci) Serricchio. He was a Veteran of the second World War, serving in the U.S. Navy as an electrician's mate. He was a master electrician, having been a member of IBEW Local #3 for over 60 years.

Serricchio is survived by his wife, Margaret (DelVecchio) Serricchio; son, Dante J. Serricchio (Ellen); daughter, Susan DeLeo (Jack); brothers, Rudolph Serricchio (Jean), Adolph Serricchio (Terry); four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Gary Serricchio; grandson, David Serricchio; brothers, Fred Serricchio, Michael Serricchio; and sister, Lucy DiMattio.

Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
