Dominick Pagliaro, 87, Stamford Native

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Dominick W. Pagliaro, a Stamford native, died on Sunday, Nov. 1 at at the Hewitt Health Care Center. He was 87. 

Pagliaro was born in Stamford on July 29, 1928, to Dominick and Madeline (Vigliotti) Pagliaro. 

A longtime resident of Naugatuck, he retired from Pitney-Bowes after 33 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where he was a volunteer at the parish bingo. He also volunteered most recently at Beacon Brook Health Care Center in Naugatuck. 

Pagliaro was predeceased by his son, Drew Pagliaro, his wife Gloria C. (Carrier); and several brothers and sisters. 

Pagliaro is survived by his son, Brian Keith Pagliaro of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; his daughter-in-law, Dana Pagliaro of Fairfield; his brother Michael Pagliaro of Oklahoma; his sisters, Mary Hull of Stamford, and Cathy Tavares of South Carolina; his four grandchildren Casey Pagliaro, Nicole Kvart, Alexandra Pagliaro, and Camryn Pagliaro; and several nieces and nephews. 

His funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 N. Main St., Naugatuck. A procession will head to St. Francis Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
