Dominick D. Franco, Sr., 80, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dominick D. Franco, Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Stamford and 60-year owner of Franco Gardens, died Wednesday, May 27, at Stamford Hospital.

He was born in Stamford March 5, 1935, to Frank and Susan Casolo Franco.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristyn LeFebvre (Michael) of Fairfield; a son, Dominick D. Franco, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Norwalk; his twin daughters Susan Lionetti (Ted) of Stamford; and Dana Feinauer (John) of Cheshire, Conn.; his brother Angelo Franco and his wife Toni, and his sister Margaret Bohrer; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by his wife, Diana Franco-Abbate and a son Gary Franco.

Visitation is at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, on Saturday from 3-7 p.m.

A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Monday at 8:45 a.m. and proceed to The Basilica of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 279 Atlantic St., Stamford, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Darien.
