STAMFORD, Conn. – Dimitrios "Taki" Koukoulogiannis, of Stamford, brother, uncle and friend, died Friday, Jan. 8. He was 84.
He was born in Litochoro, Greece, on May 17, 1931, and was the oldest of five children born to the late Perikles and Stamatia Koukoulogiannis.
He was a merchant marine in Greece for more than 30 years before he moved to Stamford in 1973. He worked at Pitney Bowes as a machinist until he retired in 1995. He loved to fish and spend time with his friends at the Stamford Hellenic Center.
He is survived by a sister, Asteria Papaioannou (Stamatios); two brothers Asterios (Steve) Koukoulogiannis (Hilda); and Kostantinos Koukoulogiannis (Emorfili); and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Evangelia Sepirgioti.
A funeral service will take place Friday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Father Evan Evangelidis will officiate. The interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford.
