Debra Wald Goldberg, 44, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. - Debra Wald Goldberg of Stamford died Tuesday, July 23. She was 44.

Goldberg was born Oct. 4, 1968, in Boston, Mass., daughter of Warren Wald of Delray Beach, Fla., and Joanne Wald. She was raised in Natick, Mass. After graduating from the University of Vermont in 1990, she enrolled at Boston University School of Law and earned her J.D. in 1993. She practiced law prior to the birth of the her first child in 1999, after which she focused on being a devoted mother and spouse. During the last several years, she taught at Sara Walker Nursery School and at Temple Beth El's Sunday school.

Goldberg is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Alyssa, Andrew and Daniel; father, Warren; brother, Rick Wald (Karen) of Saint Paul, Minn.; nephew and niece; sister, Susan Wald of Lake Worth, Fla.; in-laws, Connie and Gerry Sanders of Rye Brook, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Fred Goldberg of New York, N.Y.; many family members from the extended Goldberg, Wald, Olin, and Sklar families; and many friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Joanne.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25 at Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Goldberg's memory may be made to the Bennett Cancer Center or Temple Beth El in Stamford.
