Beverly Eaton, 83, Former Stamford Resident

SHELTON, Conn. - Beverly (Haupt) Eaton, former Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 4.. She was 83.

Eaton was born to Gladys (Greene) and Howard Haupt. She grew up in Stamford and graduated from Stamford High School. She was a longtime resident of Stamford before moving her family to Shelton in 1977 and lived there until she retired as a bookkeeper from Torno Lumber in 2004 and relocating to Vero Beach, Fla., where she was Queen Mum of the Red Hat Rascals and a member of the Foxy Ladies. She and her husband, Bill relocated back to Shelton in 2012 to be closer to their family.

Eaton is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Jacqueline Whipple (James) of Shelton, Wendy Jolls (Christopher) of Milford and Michele Lefer (Adam) of Monroe; three grandchildren; sister, Judith (Haupt) Laing of Shelton; several nieces and and nephews; and her companion, Susie. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, John (Jack) Haupt; and infant daughter, Dawn Eaton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton, Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
