Anthony D. Guglielmo, 80, Lifelong Stamford Resident, Retired Electrician

STAMFORD, Conn. - Anthony D. Guglielmo, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 31. He was 80.

Guglielmo was born Oct. 13, 1933, in Stamford, to Joseph and Esther Sabato Guglielmo. He was an electrician with the Local #501 and Local #3 for 60 years before his retirement. He was a volunteer at The Tandet Center for 18 years, a member of the Sacred Heart RC Church Choir and was the Ha Ha Clown known as Dr. Care- a -Lot at the Stamford Hospital Hospice Care.

Guglielmo is survived by his wife, Luisa Macari Guglielmo of Stamford; daughters, Vita M. Rieger (James) and Tina L. Guglielmo all of Stamford; sisters, Rita LaBella, Carmella Giordano all of Fla.; sister-in-law, Almerinda Macari of Stamford; two granddaughters; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Rosemarie Caruso; and baby daughter, Lisa Guglielmo.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Guglielmo’s memory to the American Lung Association of CT, 45 Ash Str., East Hartford, CT 06108.
