Born on June 1, 1930, in Waterbury, Conn., the son of Anthony J. Canale Sr. and Annette (Bandolilo) Canale. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 38. Canale served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Janice McGaughey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Theresa (Sabato) Canale; his son, Tom Canale and wife, June; his daughter, Jacquelyn Vartuli and husband, Ralph; his son-in-law, Michael McGaughey; three sisters; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
