STAMFORD, Conn. -- Angela "Tina" Whitaker, 51, died Friday, Oct. 9.
She was born July 6, 1964, in Stamford, to the late Andrew Jackson Whitaker and Jessie Champion Whitaker.
She was employed for a number of years with FedEx until her illness.
She is survived by her son Isiah Yarborough, grandson King A'mire Yarborough, two sisters; Gloria Moore and husband Jerrol and Janie B. Coleman, one brother; Ivan Whitaker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She also was predeceased by her sister Pearl Whitaker Batts.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday followed by a service of celebration at 11 a.m. at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., with the Rev. Dr. Tommie Jackson officiating.
Interment will be private. Services are entrusted to the Downer Funeral Home.
