Andrew Joseph Colletto, Sr., 80, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Andrew Joseph Colletto, Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died Sunday, June 21 at Stamford Hospital.

He was born in Stamford May 21, 1935, to the late Alessandro and Grace Lanzaro Colletto. He was a former partner with his brother, Raymond R. Colletto, in Colletto Brothers, Inc., formerly known as City House Demolishing Co. Inc. After he retired, he went on to work for his son from 1994-2005 at Penske Truck Rental and then worked with his daughter at Breakthru Fitness. He was an avid golfer and a professional drummer and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly M. Colletto of Stamford; his sons Samuel R. Colletto (Nancy) of Stamford and Andrew J. Colletto, Jr. (Valerie) of Stamford; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by the love of his life of 55 years, MaryAnn Elizabeth Monaco Colletto; his brother Raymond A. Colletto; and his sister Mary Loglisci.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Thursday, June 25 at 9 a.m. from the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Mausoleum/ Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, Connecticut.
