Alfred Candito, 89, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Alfred Anthony Candito Sr., 89, died Monday, March 30.

He was born in Stamford on Dec. 23, 1925. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. He completed the masonry program at Wright Tech and spent his career as a mason for the city of Stamford.

He is survived by his son, Alfred Candito Jr. (Suzy); and one grandson.

He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Rosa Candito.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 1, from 4-6 p.m. at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (next to the Knights of Columbus) 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford. Interment will be private.
