What's Open/Closed In Stamford For Memorial Day Weekend

STAMFORD, Conn. — Here is a list of places closed or with amended hours in Stamford for Memorial Day weekend.

Lifeguards will be on duty for the first time this year at Stamford's beaches for Memorial Day weekend.

Public Beaches: Open with lifeguards on duty Saturday and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

City Garbage & Recycling Collection: As regularly scheduled

Transfer Station: Closed Monday.

Recycling Centers: Closed Monday.

Stamford Government Center: Closed Monday.

Ferguson Library: Closed on Monday, but open the rest of the weekend.

Stamford Museum & Nature Center: Will offer free admission to active duty military families from Monday through Labor Day.

Stamford YMCA: Closed on Monday.

Chelsea Piers: Will close early on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m., except for adult ice hockey. It will be open Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be no semester-based classes the entire weekend.

Italian Center: Will open at 8 a.m.
