Update: Metro-North Running Buses On Part Of New Canaan Branch

Update: NEW CANAAN, Conn. — As of 9:10 p.m. Thursday, New Canaan Branch Line Service between Stamford and Talmadge Hill was operating on or close to schedule. Bus service was being provided between Talmadge Hill and New Canaan.  

Original story: NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Train service on the New Canaan Branch was experiencing big delays on Thursday evening due to a disabled train in the vicinity of New Canaan, Metro-North said via Twitter.

Delays of 30 to 45 minutes were reported between Stamford and the Talmadge Hill station, Metro-North said.  

Train service between Talmadge Hill station and the New Canaan station was "indefinitely delayed," the MTA said on Twitter.    

Riders were urged to listen for announcements at the stations.

It was not known when train service would be on schedule on the branch.
