Trinity Graduate Dies in Afghan Helicopter Crash

STAMFORD, Conn. — Brian Bill, a graduate of Trinity Catholic High School, was one of the 30 servicemen who died when a U.S. helicopter was shot down over the weekend, the Stamford Advocate reports.

Bill graduated from Trinity Catholic in 1997, Assistant Principal Diane Warzoha told the Advocate. The school will release a statement later Monday, the article said.

The attack he was involved was the deadliest single-loss for U.S. forces since the war with Afghanistan began, the article said. Along with the 30 U.S. serviceman, there were seven commandos, eight Afghans, and a civilian translator also killed in the crash, the article said.
