Tornado Risk Rises In Stamford

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for all of Fairfield County until 11 p.m. Tuesday evening.

A high wind advisory was also issued through 6 a.m. Wednesday. The advisory was issued because sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph are expected. The Weather Service is also warning of possible gusts from 46 to 57 mph.

The Weather Service said winds this strong could make driving difficult and warned residents to take extra caution.
