During a torrential rainstorm Monday morning, a tornado wreaked havoc on North Stamford and backcountry Greenwich. The National Weather Service confirmed the reports Tuesday.
A man was charged with assault and sexual assault on his wife Monday. The man who has been living in Stamford is originally from Jamaica and married a woman from Stamford to get his visa, police said.
After several years of renovations, city officials celebrated the new look Scalzi Park on Tuesday morning.
Fireworks returned to the city for the first time since the summer of 2009 on Wednesday night as Stamford celebrated the Fourth of July.
