Team Set To Advise State On Stamford Train Station

STAMFORD, Conn. — Five people have been selected to work with Department of Transportation Commissioner James Redeker to evaluate proposals and provide guidance on the Stamford Transportation Center Parking Garage project , a news release from the governor’s office said.

The volunteers are Laure Aubuchon, director of economic development for Stamford, Curtis Battles, who worked on redeveloping Grand Central Station and the World Trade Center, David Hendricks, a commuter and member of the Connecticut Rail Commuter Council, Joseph McGee, vice president of public policy and programs for the Business Council of Fairfield County, and Randall Skigen, president of the Stamford Board of Representatives, the release said.

All of the members were suggested to Redeker by Gov. Dannel Malloy based on their commuting experience and expertise as leaders in the area, the release said.

“This input will be an integral part of the vetting and decision-making process, so that we deliver a first-class transportation center for the thousands of commuters who travel to and from Stamford every day,” Redeker said in the release.
