? Construction began on a 15-story mixed-use high-rise in downtown Stamford, which is Phase 2 of Trinity Financial’s Park Square West. There will be more than 200 apartments and about 6,800 square feet of ground floor retail.

Officer Robert Macari, 43, and Officer William Garay, 28, were each charged with conduct unbecoming of an officer and suspended by Chief Jonathan Fontneau after it was learned they were text messaging a 17-year-old girl, police said. The state's attorney said it will not be filing criminal charges against the officers.

The man operating the crane that collapsed in Stamford Harbor a few weeks ago was arrested Wednesday after State Police found that he was unlicensed to operate a crane and that the crane was unregistered. Richard Dufresne was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, operating a crane without a license and operating an unregistered crane.
