Voice Your Opinion on Stamford Train Station Parking

STAMFORD, Conn. — Commuters will have one last chance to tell the state Department of Transportation what they think of its plan to replace the Stamford Transportation Center’s parking garage.

The meeting will be held at Stamford High School, 55 Strawberry Hill Ave., and begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20. Comments can be submitted in writing at the public hearing in addition to verbally.

The state is looking for input on the Environmental Impact Evaluation that was done for a proposal to demolish the 727-space parking garage and build a new garage with at least 1,000 spaces. Follow this weblink to see the Department of Transportation’s evaluation.

Residents will have until Oct. 5 to submit comments either by email to dot.environmentalplanning@ct.gov or by mail to Mark W. Alexander, Transportation Assistant Planning Director, P.O. Box 317546, Newington, CT 06131-7546.
